In cooperation with the Danish Waste Association (Brancheforeningen Cirkulær), students from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) made a new textile project where textiles are seen as a valuable resource.

In cooperation with the Danish Waste Association (Brancheforeningen Cirkulær), students from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) made a textile project. Here they discuss discarded textiles as a valuable resource for organizations in Denmark. They strived to reduce the environmental footprint of textiles by increasing the collection and subsequent reuse, and where not possible, recycling of used textiles through optimizing textile collection methods and cooperation between stakeholders of humanitarian organizations and municipalities.

They have focused on:

1) current reuse and recycling systems

2) comparing strategies among different organizations

3) facilitating cooperation through workshops
